South Africa’s national team coach, Hugo Broos, is confident that his side can emerge victorious against Zimbabwe in Group B of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The two neighboring countries were drawn into the same group during a draw held in Rabat, Morocco, on Monday.

Broos believes that Egypt is the favorite to win the group, but he is optimistic about Bafana Bafana’s chances against Zimbabwe. “When I look at our opponents at the AFCON, I think Egypt are the favourites to win the group… And then we have Zimbabwe again, they’re a neighbour of South Africa,” Broos told SAFA Media.
