Warriors head coach Michael Nees was among the 24 national team coaches who attended a crucial one-day workshop organized by CAF in Rabat, Morocco. The workshop brought together coaches from teams that have qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
The gathering focused on addressing logistical matters ahead of the tournament. According to CAF, the workshop provided an opportunity for teams to learn about the planning and preparations being coordinated by CAF and the Local Organising Committee (LOC). Key topics discussed included team hotels, travel arrangements, match-day logistics, and the match schedule. Additionally, coaches were introduced to the new concept of “Team Base Camps” and were assigned to these camps through a draw.
The workshop aimed to align all participating nations on the necessary processes for AFCON 2025, enabling them to begin detailed planning over the next 11 months and gain a clear understanding of the expectations placed on them as tournament participants.
