By A Correspondent | MedOrange, Zimbabwe’s fastest growing chain of pharmacies, is seeing strong demand for its recently launched loyalty card as customers move to products that make transactions easier in a rapidly changing environment.

The Orange Card

The company introduced the Orange Card loyalty scheme in April, which has been rewarding customers with discounts and giving them exclusive access to essential service providers. COVID-19 has seen a rise in demand for more efficient ways to pay for medications, and this is leaving pharmacies that still treat customers at arm’s length behind.

The Orange Card gives customers the convenience that they have lacked from other products on the market.

What are the benefits of the Orange Card?

You get a US$5 sign-up bonus upon purchase of goods worth US$20 or more. A customer will accumulate points every time they make a purchase either online or at one of our pharmacies. These points redeemable at any MedOrange outlets. Orange Card holders also have access to lower prices when they pay for important service from MedOrange’s many partners.

“Every Zimbabwean knows the hassle of having to find change when they pay for goods and services. The Orange Card solves this problem, as all your change is loaded on the card, and you can always use it on your next purchase,” according to MedOrange deputy Managing Director Mercy Chikumba.

With the Orange Card, MedOrange customers have access to the Orange Club, whose members enjoy exclusive promotions, such as free weight and body fat analysis, as well as slashed prices on selected products.

MedOrange, which has driven online pharmacy services, already offers a virtual loyalty card. A physical card is under development. To get the Orange Card, customers just click on the website and provide details; their name, address, phone number, and email address.

“You can also fill in small physical form in-store and our shop consultants will assist you receive a link for confirmation of your account,” Chikumba explains.
