Tinashe Sambiri|UK Government Minister for Africa, James Duddridge, has challenged Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration to release jailed political activists.

Duddridge dencounced the detention and harassment of perceived government opponents in Zimbabwe.

“Bail denied again for Joana Mamombe and Cecilia Chimbiri in Zimbabwe.

I call on Zimbabwe’s authorities to ensure all are treated equally under the law, and to show action on the government’s commitments to reform. Harassment of political opponents needs to end,” Duddridge posted on Twitter.
