Tinashe Sambiri|The nine Chivi North MDC Alliance Youth Assembly members have been granted RTGS $ 2000 bail each by Masvingo High Court Judge Justice Wamambo.

The nine were arrested two weeks ago and charged with participating in a gathering with intent to promote public violence, breach of peace or bigotry.

According to court papers seen by ZimEye.com, the nine have been ordered to stay at their given residential addresses and they should report at CID Mashava once every week.

They have also been ordered not to interfere with State witnesses.

In a statement MDC Alliance Masvingo denounced relentless persecution of its members by the Zanu PF regime.

“The nine are innocent, the whole thing is meant to disrupt our programmes,” MDC Alliance Masvingo said in a brief statement.
