Police Arrest Touts Filmed Harassing A Woman At Dulibadzimu Bus Terminus

By Jane Mlambo| The Police have confirmed arresting four touts who were filmed physically manhandling a woman at Beitbridge’s Dulibadzimu bus terminus.

According to ZRP, the four who appeared on a video which went viral last week will appear in court today.

The police urged the public to report all incidents of harassment by touts at bus termini.

“The ZRP has arrested the four touts who were involved in the physical manhandling & harassment of a woman in a video which went viral recently. The incident occurred at Dulibadzimu Rank, Beitbridge. The touts will appear in court today.

“The ZRP applauds all Zimbabweans for the co-operation & concern over the conduct of the touts. The public is urged to report all incidents of harassment by touts taking note of the location, date, time & the name of the bus company involved. #notouting& harassment of women,” the police said.

Speaking on the incident last week, Women Affairs minister Dr Sithembiso Nyoni said public spaces must be safe for all while pushing for the removal of touts from all bus termini.

“Eventually, we want to witness the removal of touts from all bus termini. Public spaces must be safe for all and may it be known that the law enforcing agents shall not deal with this lightly,” she said.
