By Farai D Hove| ZimEye reveals how the ZANU PF leader Emmerson Mnangagwa performed a.u turned on his position on violence. This was early last year and the man spoke before foreign diplomats, and would a day later swing to the extreme left on violence. Below is the narration:

15 FEB 2019

Violence has no place in our midst. My administration esteems peace and democracy we believe that human life is sacrosanct violence is a betrayal of the new Zimbabwe.

Let me reiterate that in the new Zimbabwe everyone has the right to protest but peacefully. everyone has the right to voice their opinions but peacefully and everyone has the right to criticize me and my government but peacefully.

16th Feb 2019.

“They were travelling from place to place saying tomorrow we must make noise. Anyone who would have been arrested you will simply go to lawyers waiting to defend you those who would have been injured you will go to a place where you can be treated by doctors, causing other people’s children to be injured. All those people we are now going after them those doctors that we are encouraging the noise we are going after them the lawyers who were saying the noise should go ahead we are going after them. Those who choose noise, don’t worry, we are adequately equipped to deal with them. Those who choose silence and Peace hallelujah to them, peace, and may their days be increased in the land ruled by black people. But those who choose noise that days will roll back. Up with ZANU PF. Up with ZANU PF!
