By A Correspondent- A suspected drunk driver who was also speeding hit seven people at Pangolin Shopping Center killing one woman on the spot this evening.

When the Mirror arrived at the scene of the accident the lifeless body of the woman was still lying on the ground.

Efforts to get a comment from Masvingo Province ZRP Spokesperson Chief Inspector Charity Mazula were fruitless as her mobile went on unanswered.

According to eyewitnesses who spoke to The Mirror the youthful driver lost control of his Toyota Vista after he hit a pedestrian near Pangolin Shopping Center at around 5pm.

The driver allegedly went on to hit six more pedestrians who were coming from the shops resulting in them sustaining serious injuries. They were ferried to hospital by Emras.

The Police arrived at the scene at 8pm. The driver took to his heels soon after the accident.-Masvingo Mirror
