By Jane Mlambo| Self exiled former Cabinet Minister Walter Mzembi has all but confirmed MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa’s fears against consuming food shared during cabinet meeting during the Government of National Unity saying, the ruling Zanu PF is cannibalistic.
Yesterday, Chamisa blamed the state for the death of Itai Dzamara’s brother, Patson while also shedding light on his time in government where he never took tea offered during cabinet meetings.
Mzembi confirmed that Chamisa used to drink Fanta while everyone else guggled tea for the whole five year period.
“I sat next to @nelsonchamisa in Cabinet , he drank Fanta while we guggled tea for the 5 yrs and explained to me poison fears. However his reference to Mugabe may mean the System and its targets, look where I am , happy he pronounced himself on this,” said Mzembi.
He further revealed his warning to incarcerated Zengeza West legislator Job Sikhala not to take any food or water offered in prison.
“Casper Tsvangirayi , Dr Patson Dzamara phoned me apprehensive about these cancers which only attack you after incarceration, I have warned @JobSikhala1 of the same , no food , water etc from prison and asked him to warn his colleagues inside,” added Mzembi.
Mzembi said he later realised the poisoning dangers and stopped taking tea in cabinet though he admits it may have been too late.
“This issue of biological agents and other suspicions may sound like a myth but it’s real , in the last two years of my Cabinet sitting I had stopped teas as well , it may have been too late, the Silver Jug of ice cold water for each member was suspect too,” said Mzembi.
“One sitting I exclaimed in horror when I opened my Silver Jug , and found a thick bed of dead black cockroaches at the base , fumed at Mapingire and staff how this could be , but it was my first hint @nelsonchamisa could have been right,
“Take stock since 1980 causes of death of Cabinet Members , gastrointestinal disorders and accidents , Zanu PF is cannibalistic, before we even go to Opposition, isinjonjo as they say it amongst themselves, game of elimination,” concluded Mzembi.
