MDC Youth Assembly condemns the arrest and detention of civil society activist, Pride Mkono.

Mkono is currently being detained at Harare Central Police Station with no clear charges placed on him.

It is clear the state is in panic mode and it is regrettable that the arrests comes at a time when our members are facing abductions and torture.

As an Assembly we remain resolute and unshaken in the face of political persecutions!

Criminalization of freedom of expression and the right to demonstrate is criminal!
