Two More Magistrates Sworn In
10 March 2019
By Own Correspondent- The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has sworn in two more magistrates at the Harare Magistrates Court.
The development follows government’s uplifting of the recruitment freeze following the approval from treasury.
Addressing members of the press soon after the swearing in ceremony, Prosecutor General, Kumbirai Hodzi said the JSC had long been hard hit by the critical shortage of magistrates following high demand of services.
Acting Chief Magistrate, Munamato Mutevedzi weighed in saying the two sworn in magistrates will complement the required number needed by government.
The sworn in magistrates are Michelle Dorcas Tinotenda Mutasa and Notebulgarh Muchineripi, both holders of law degrees.
