By Own Correspondent| Pastor Evan Mawarire’s bail bid hit a snag after a High Court judge here deferred his ruling to Tuesday 29 January 2019.

Mawarire whose bail application last week at the Harare magistrates courts was denied was remanded in custody prompting his lawyer to approach the High Court for recourse.

Mawarire, has in the past led a national protest shutdown in 2016, is charged with subverting the government and inciting public violence. He faces 20 years in prison if convicted.
