“Sexual Violence Is Sickening”: UK Parliamentarian Harriet Baldwin Tells Mnangagwa

By Own Correspondent|United Kingdom’s joint Minister of State at the Foreign Office and Department for International Development, Harriet Baldwin has urged President Emmerson Mnangagwa to ensure soldiers who raped women during a violent crackdown on protesters are brought to book.
Baldwin is also Member of Parliament for West Worcestershire.
She was reacting to a report by ITV News where a woman named Melody said she was raped by 2 soldiers whilst children watched.
Said Baldwin:
Sickened by @ITV reports that Zimbabwe’s security forces have raped civilians during their violent crackdown. Sexual violence is an atrocity and who is commanding these forces? The UK urges @edmnangagwa to ensure these perpetrators are brought to justice.
