By Own Correspondent- MDC leaders and supporters are now living in fear amid revelations that state security agents have intensified hunting down and beating opposition party supporters in broad daylight.

The MDC’s information department in a statement said the party’s Youth Assembly chairperson, Happymore Chidziva became the latest victim after the security details visited his home and ransacked it while looking for him.

Said the party in a “Persecution News Alert”:

MDC Youth Assembly Chairperson Happymore Chidziv’s house has just been raided by suspected CIO, military intelligence operatives and drunk Zanu PF youths.

The team beat up everyone in the house, children included before they took a young man, Collen who is a son to one of the tenants who share the same house with Hon Chidziva

Epworth Member of Parliament, Hon Earthrige Kureva’s house was also ransacked by state security agents and police details who later left a message that he should report to the police station

The continued assault on MDC members of parliament and their families must stop.”
