By Own Correspondent|Finance and Economic Development Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube has projected a positive outlook for the country’s economic trajectory.
In a report by the state broadcaster, the current reforms including fuel price increases are necessary for a new path of economic growth.
He explained to CNN’s Richard Quest recently that the violent protests witnessed in the country last week were unZimbabwean and will not derail the bold steps adopted by the government for economic turnaround.
Professor Ncube painted an optimistic outlook for the country that entails reduced inflationary pressures to under 10 percent by December this year, a commitment to clear arrears to multinational financiers that include the World Bank and the African Development Bbank, which will set a trajectory for enhanced growth in the country.-StateMedia
