By Own Correspondent|Tuku Music Official has issued a statement confirming the death of music icon Oliver Tuku Mtukudzi.

However the family requested for privacy their privacy as they come to terms with the shocking loss of their loved one.

Said Tuku Musik Official:

It’s with great sadness to share with you all that Dr Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi died in Harare earlier today. He was not only a national icon but celebrated throughout Africa and the world.

While a public man, he was also a father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and above all a husband to his loving wife Daisy Mtukudzi. At this time the family is taking a few moments to come to terms with the shocking loss and respectfully requests some privacy.
