Terrence Mawawa, Masvingo| A Mnangagwa favourite who is also the ruling party Zanu PF’s prodical son Retired Colonel Claudius Makova has set his focus on the Bikita West Parliamentary Seat, party sources have revealed.

Col Makova alongside former Masvingo State Minister, Kudakwashe Bhasikiti, officially announced their return to Zanu PF at a party meeting here on Sunday.

Ruling party sources told ZimEye Makova was widely tipped to wrestle the Bikita West Parliamentary Seat from current MP, Beauty Chabaya, a Grace Mugabe apologist.

“Makova has positioned himself to grab the Bikita West Parliamentary Seat.

This will then make him eligible for selection into the Cabinet,” said a Zanu PF Official.

They added saying:”Mnangagwa adores Makova because of his military background.This means Chabaya will be elbowed out to pave way for Makova.”

Makova has in past elections unleashed a reign of terror against perceived opposition supporters.

Both Chabaya and Makova were not immediately available to comment on the matter.
