Judges are preparing to bleed their ink onto President Robert Mugabe’s name in a historic humiliation of the 92year old dictator over his illegal insult laws.
As VIVA Zimbabwe leader, Acie Lumumba(William Mutumanje) was Wednesday morning in the prepare to be hauled before the courts for what Mugabe’s prosecutors say is an insult and an undermining of the President, ConCourt Judges were waiting to hear the case once escalated to their chambers.
The judges are Deputy Chief Justice Luke Malaba together with a full bench of learned judicials. Before Lumumba enters court today, the law on which he has been charged has already been scrapped and scoffed at by the ConCourt. Justice Malaba in October 2013 rebuked state prosecutors for abusing the country’s insult laws, which have seen over 70 people facing legal action since 2010 for allegedly ‘undermining’ the authority of the President.
The only way the police can have their way will be by causing annoyance prosecuting Lumumba at lower courts for the purpose of merely making him a public spectacle. At the end of it all Lumumba will come out winner in this illegal act by the state, a Harare legal expert told ZimEye.com
Lumumba was arrested by over zealous ignorant ZRP officers following his telling Mugabe F*** you last week.
“Mr Mugabe, I guess you have not been really insulted,” said Mr Lumumba.
He continued, “You are now used to being insulted by protesters. You are used to being insulted by vendors, you are used to being insulted in the hallways.
“You have never seen Zimbabweans really angry. So, here is the red line. Mr President Robert Gabriel Mugabe **** you.”
