Politician and philathropist Barbara Nyagomo has launched a new jam brand which has recently hit shop shelves, at a cost of $1.50 per bottle.
The Jam is being marketed under the brand Freshmo Foods/Jam and is produced by women entrepreneurs in Zimbabwe and South-Africa, as part of an effort initiated by Nyagomo to empower them economically.
In an interview with ZimEye.com, Nyagomo who trains female entrepreneurs to make soap and jam online said, “My aim is to teach people to do small sustainable business projects creating jobs and boosting local economy.”

Times are hard for the majority of Zimbabweans with many seeking alternative ways of survival outside formal employment. So far Nyagomo who is also founder and President of The Progressive Democrats of Zimbabwe, has trained 60 women in Zimbabwe and 15 Refugee women based in South Africa.
