Staff Reporter |The controversial former MDC-Ncube Secretary General, Moses Mzila Ndlovu has been described as “directionless” following his performance at the weekend in South Africa, when he attempted to launch his new political outfit.
The suggested name of his party is Bukalanga People’s Party and will only target the Kalanga people of Zimbabwe in only seven constituencies.
Mzila Ndlovu says: “Every Shona person is guilty of Gukurahundi.”
ZimEye.com sources who attended the meeting addressed by Mzila in the heart of Johannesburg at the weekend lamented that, after a near one hour of address they were left confused as to what exactly the veteran politician was selling to them.
The sources further claim that Mzila spent ninety percent of his address throwing tribal insults at Shona speaking people of Zimbabwe and declaring them all gukurahundi killers.
Zimbabweans had been invited to the meeting to hear Mzila announce the formation of a new regional political party but the former liberation war fighter went on to divert and concentrate on tribal slurs that left them with no direction on what he was proposing as a way forward.
Prior to the meeting, Mzila’s agents in Johannesburg had mobilised mainly the Kalanga speaking people from Zimbabwe on the promise that he was coming to launch a Bukalanga People’s Party.
The party which is being planned as a regional party will be focused only in seven of the two hundred and ten constituencies in the country.
The constituencies which they believe are only dominated by the Kalanga speaking people are Tsholotsho North and South, Matobo North and South and the three Plumtree constituencies of Bulilima East and West and Mangwe.
Mzila is believed to be back in the country preparing to go on a tour of the seven constituencies to announce his intended Bukalanga People’s Party.
The sources said that they did not find any logic in the running of a regional party as it will not get rid of the ZANU PF government which is the problem faced by Zimbabweans.
“We couldn’t make sense what Mzila was really on about,” said one of the sources. “How will the Kalanga only party help us remove ZANU PF from power?”
