The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced the new fuel prices for January 2025, which took effect on January 4, 2025 ¹. According to the announcement, the price of petrol remains unchanged at $1.48 per liter, while the price of diesel has decreased slightly from $1.54 to $1.53 per liter.

As the government entity responsible for regulating the energy sector in Zimbabwe, ZERA was established by the Energy Regulatory Authority Act Chapter 13:23 of 2011 ². Its primary mandate is to ensure a fair, transparent, and efficient energy market that benefits both consumers and energy suppliers.
