The Zanu PF Operation Restore Legacy Facebook page recently published a survey evaluating the performance of government ministers in 2024, and Women Affairs Minister Monica Mutsvangwa has received a particularly poor rating.

The analysis, posted on Wednesday, paints a stark picture of her performance in key areas related to gender equality and women empowerment.

The survey’s findings are as follows:

Promotion of Gender Equality: 2/10

Women Empowerment in Decision-Making: 3/10

Access to Finance for Women Entrepreneurs: 1/10

Development & Support to SMEs: 2/10

Launch of Community Development Projects: 1/10

This leads to an overall score of 1.3/10.

The Zanu PF Facebook page included a direct question to followers, asking, “Do you agree???” in response to the low ratings.

The criticism of Minister Mutsvangwa’s performance has sparked discussions, as the evaluation seems to reflect broader concerns regarding the administration of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Some observers believe that this poor assessment is indicative of the failure of Mnangagwa’s government to deliver on its promises, particularly in addressing the needs of women and small-scale enterprises.

The survey underscores the growing dissatisfaction within certain factions of the ruling party regarding the government’s ability to meet expectations in crucial sectors like gender equality and economic empowerment.
