By A Correspondent| Exiled former cabinet minister Professor Jonathan Moyo has dashed to the defence of urban grooves star Roki who came under fire on social media over controversial lines on his newly released song where Rhumba maestro Koffi Olomide mentions President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Posting on Twitter, Jonathan Moyo said people tearing into Koffi Olomide over his ‘ED Mnangagwa Number One’ line needed moral compass as the chant is not offensive.

He appealed to Zimbabweans to give Roki a break saying he deserves it.

“If anyone is offended by the insipid Kofi Olomide lyric, “ED Munangagwa, Number One”, which he chants only once in his “Patati Patata” collabo with Roki & Tanzania’s Rayvany, then they need a moral compass. The chant is dumb, but not offensive. Give #Roki a break, he deserves it!” said Jonathan Moyo.
