By Business Reporter | A Zimbabwean businessman, Raymond Makunde exposed on ZimEye two weeks ago, has been found having two identities. This is revealed in an investigation in UK and South Africa where a police case has since been opened.
In South Africa, Mr. Raymond Makunde who robbed a London based elderly female of GBP500 has two different identifies.
In the UK, he is masquerading as Raymond Makunde, when in South Africa he is known as Raymond Makunae, exclusive documents unearthed reveal.
The above documents ZimEye.com refers to show his identity details in South Africa.
ZimEye also reveals Mr Makunde’s bank statement of the man’s business account for his Bishop Logistics company with which he committed frauds. The attached statement shows Makunde received a credit of R104,000 and the next day R65,000 was taken out to purchase a truck, and within 4 days the whole account was floored.
ZimEye reveals of the R104,000 that Makunde had duped a South African client.
To date the facts established are as follows:
A police case was opened in South Africa by a member of C2C network group, a Mr JJ Singh, alleging that Mr. Makunde committed a crime of theft under false pretences and fraud in relation to a payment of R104 000.00 which his company, Bishops Logistics Pty Limited (Bishops) received on 22 February 2021 against a back-to-back promise to pay the equivalent to a UK based supplier.
An extract of Bishops’ FNB bank statement confirms the receipt of the said funds on 22 February.
The reference in relation to this payment is Ray Makunde confirming that this transaction was conceived and executed in the spirit of building global community power based on trust and integrity.
Mr. Makunde was introduced to Mr Singh who in turn was introduced to another member of C2C, the payer in this case.
Funds were paid to the order of Mr. Makunde into the FNB account in the name of Bishops Logistics.
Mr. Makunde is well known in social media circles as a businessman.
