By James Gwati-President Emmerson Mnangagwa has declared war on the opposition MDC-Alliance President Nelson Chamisa led local authorities and said that his Zanu PF party would persuade urban voters to shun the opposition in the next election.

Addressing his party executives in Harare yesterday, Mnangagwa said his party was currently seized with addressing issues arising from illegal settlements and poor service delivery in urban local authorities.

“Determined to overcome the challenges being faced by our urban residents, the party must seize every available opportunity to engage the urban residents,” said Mnangagwa.
“The ground is fertile for us to vote out the corrupt and squabbling opposition.
