Rare Tick-borne Disease Hits Auxilia Mnangagwa’s Rural Home

By James Gwati- A rare tick-borne disease has hit Chiweshe in Mashonaland Central leaving thousands of cattle dead.

Chiweshe is where the first lady Auxilia Mnangagwa comes from.

The tick-borne disease outbreak has resulted in villager selling their cattle for as low as US$50 as they fear to completly lose out.

The outbreak of Theileriosis, or January Disease, as it is also called has also been reported in some parts of the country where it has claimed thousands of cattle since the start of the year.
