Memorial Service for the late President Morgan Richard Tsvangirai hosted by UK and Ireland Women’s Assembly on the 20th of February 2021

A Zoom Memorial Service for the late Icon for democracy was led by Reverend Chisvo, who blessed us with a powerful sermon.

Chairlady Hellena Gusinyu introduced the National leadership which consisted of the National WA Chairlady Mrs Mugido, VP Kore and National Organising Secretary Hon. Amos Chibaya.
Ambassador Yvonne Mahlunge Gwashavanhu & Elliot Pfebve were also present.

Leader Tryness Ncube South East District WA Chairlady graced us with an opening prayer.

Provincial WA Vice Organising Secretary Gladys Helen Meck took us back to the memory lane when she read some of the great quotes from our late leader Dr Richard Morgan Tsvangirai.

The UK and Ireland Province Chairman Mr Crispen Chamburuka got us in deep thought when he sang a Shona chorus, “Munoziva Kusasimba Kwangu,” before giving a brief speech.

VP Kore gave us the Presidential speech which was brilliant and motivational reminding us how & why Movement for Democratic Change was formed. It lifted our spirits and never will we give in to the corrupt , evil regime until a better Zimbabwe is born.

Elder Matewu represented the Tsvangirai family,as he gave the Vote of thanks was given by Elder Matewu. He went on to elaborate on the boldness and sacrifices made the late President Morgan Tsvangirai in his journey fighting for democracy.

Leader Joyce Mutengezanwa , from South East District gave us a closing prayer .

The Provincial Women’s Assembly Executive Committee would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the attendees and the financial support which will go a long way in assisting our fellow comrades in prisons.

To all the District Chairs and their teams, your continuous support is beyond measure !
