The Meteorological Services Department has warned people in Matebeleland North, Bulawayo, Matebeleland South, Midlands, Masvingo and Manicaland of the possibility of lightning from today Sunday 30 August to Tuesday 1 September.

The department urged people to avoid being caught outdoors or the fields due to the danger of thunderstorms.

Met Department said the areas mentioned are likely to receive light showers which may be violent during the period indicated.
