HIGHLANDERS have sent out a condolence message to their fierce rivals Dynamos following the death of their assistant coach, Biggie Zuze, who died in Harare on Thursday.

In a statement, Highlanders said the passing away of Zuze as a massive blow not only to Dynamos but to the entire Zimbabwean football community.

“The Highlanders F.C board, executive, staff members, players and the greater Highlanders family, would like to take this opportunity to convey our condolences to the Zuze and Dynamos families following the sudden death of Biggie Zuze, a member of the Dynamos F.C coaching staff and a DeMbare son of note.

The death of Zuze is a big blow, not only to his immediate family and Dynamos F.C as an institution, but to the entire Zimbabwean football fraternity,’’ read part of the Bosso statement.
Highlanders said the nation has lost a true sportsman and football teacher with a keen eye for young talent and youth football development.

“We will forever cherish the passion for his club, which he normally exhibited during our matches against Dynamos.

It is such passion that beautifies football rivalries hence, the loss of Zuze is such a significant blow to ‘the battle of Zimbabwe’, as our matches against Dynamos F.C are affectionately known. May his blue and white Soul Rest in Peace,’’ concluded the Highlanders statement.

Zuze passed away at on Thursday at High Glen Cimas Clinic where he was about to be moved to Harare Hospital after having breathing difficulties.

A former Dynamos midfielder during his playing days, Zuze was at the time of his death assistant coach to another ex DeMbare player, Tonderai Ndiraya at the Glamour Boys-The Sunday News
