REPORT ON ALL DONATIONS TO DATE

By Own Correspondent- Protestors who were arrested in Harare Friday have appeared in court.

They were however remanded in custody pending their bail application.

The ZRP on Friday confirmed that 91 people had been arrested in connection with the August 16 demonstrations in Harare’s central business district, Chitungwiza and Harare South.

Opposition activists and human rights defenders Phinius Nyambi, Pride Mukono and about 22 others who were detained at Harare Central police yesterday(16 August 2019) appeared at Rotten Row Court 6 today.

Said a lawyer from the ZLHR:

“Yes they have appeared at Rotten Row magistrates court but the state used the 242 forms which postpones bail and they have been remanded in custody.”
