Paul Nyathi|The Minister of Health and Child Care Dr Obadiah Moyo is currently involved in a tense urgent meeting with senior doctors and consultants after the health practitioners downed tools this morning.

The meeting is seeking to try and end the strike action which will definitely cripple the health delivery system in the country.

The doctors downed tools citing lack of medicines and other sundries in hospitals which is making operating conditions very difficult.

While the Minister is in closed doors with the few doctors who are in the meeting, reports indicate that the rest of the Harare based doctors are busy picketing outside Parirenyatwa Hospital.
