Trevor Ncube Apologises Over NewsDay Story On RTGS Dollars.

ALPHA Media Holdings (AMH) chairman Trevor Ncube, wo is the owner of daily newspaper NewsDay, has apologized for what he called biased reporting by the daily after bit published an article headlined RTGS Dollar to Devalue Further: RBZ.

Ncube, who is one of President Mnangagwa’s advisors, says he was heartbroken by the bias in the report which he said contributes to polarization.

“My heart breaks that @NewsDayZimbabwe got this story so wrong. This is example of our blind spots/biases colouring our world view contributing to polarisation. While l maintain my newspapers are not me/l am not my newspapers – I am embarrassed. Sincere apologies to Zimbabwe,” Nceube said in a tweet.

Last week while speaking at the inaugural meeting of President Mnangagwa and the 26 members of the Presidential Advisory Council at State House, Ncube pledged to play a critical role to ensure that the media is objective and works towards a positive goal for the benefit of everyone, especially in this “toxic environment.

Ncube also made a passionate plea for unity, urging citizens to put away polarisation and work towards a common goal that will see Zimbabwe flourish again.

Ncube also said the country was going through a painful period and that polarisation should be put aside for the sake of progress.
