Scenes at the heroes acre sitting arragement for Emmerson Mnangagwa’s front stand suggest that the ZANU PF leader has elevated his nemesis Sydney Sekeramayi.
Sekeramayi was former President Robert Mugabe’s preferred successor
During the burial of national hero the late Brigadier-General Emilio Munemo on Saturday, delegates were met with shock when Sekeramayi was found sitting aside Mnangagwa and his deputy, Constantino Chiwenga.
Chiwenga was next Emmerson Mnangagwa’s immediate right while close to him was Sidney Sekeramayi.
Sekeramayi was before the military coup in November 2017 revealed to be Mugabe’s preferred successor. The development was first filmed on zimeye.com.
Since the coup, Sekeramayi was not named in Mnangagwa’s two successive Cabinets even though he was a mainstay in Mugabe’s administration.
