Girl Child Network founder Betty Makoni has condemned parliamentarians in the portfolio committee on child welfare and health over reports that they argued over waiving the age of consent for having sex from 16 to 12 saying they must all step down for such an abomination.

Posting on Twitter, Makoni said the committee should be added on the sanctions list and be barred from working with children as they may be plotting to rape children.
