Farai Dziva|Former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation presenter Ezra Tshisa Sibanda has attacked MDC A deputy chairperson Tendai Biti for “causing disharmony in the opposition party.”

Sibanda argues there is no need to vilify Mwonzora who has expressed interest in challenging MDC A leader Nelson Chamisa at the Congress scheduled for May.

The culture of labelling any competitor Zanu PF is entrenched in the MDC.

Douglas Mwonzora is being abused, denigrated and called a Zanu PF project just like others before because he wants to challenge Chamisa for the presidency.

The smear campaign is being propelled by Tendai Biti, the same guy who dumped MDC before calling Tsvangirai all sorts of names and singing praises for Mugabe.

The same cabal is now conniving with Zanu PF’ s G40 to trample on the founding values of the MDC.

They are now ignoring the likes of Mwonzora, Khupe and others who have remained loyal to the party.

Mwonzora is a seasoned politician with more than 30 years experience in political activism. He is a seasoned legal practitioner who has been fighting for the respect of constitutionalism, reforms and democratic change in Zimbabwe . He has been tormented and arrested many times by Mugabe’s regime.

His crime now is challenging President Chamisa ahead of the Congress.

He is entitled to compete like anybody else who is a member of the party. Chamisa should not allow the Bitis and to divide the party even more. Everyone knows Biti wants Chamisa’s position though he behaves as if he is not interested.
