Jane Mlambo| The Thokozani Khupe-led MDC-T has wished Chiwenga a speedy recovery, though the party said they were annoyed by his hypocrisy.

In comment in the Newsday, Khupe’s party said they cannot overlook his hypocrisy to fly out for treatment when ordinary citizens are dying like flies due to lack of adequate and affordable healthcare.

“However, we cannot overlook his hypocrisy and indictment against the very government which he’s number two in the leadership hierarchy. Our people are dying like flies due to lack of access to adequate and affordable healthcare which his government is responsible for destroying over the past 39 years,” the party said.

“It is rather unfortunate that the VP has the audacity to fly outside the country in pursuit of a functional foreign healthcare system yet he willy-nilly fires nurses and doctors requesting for safe working conditions and decent salaries.”
