BREAKING- ZCTU Leader Charged With Treason, Set To Appear In Court Saturday

By Own Correspondent|Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) leader Peter Mutasa has been charged with treason and is set to appear at Harare magistrates court tomorrow (Saturday).

Mutasa, was charged with subverting a constitutionally elected government or inciting public violence during the #ShutdownZimbabwe protests last week.

Said the ZLHR in a statement

ZCTU President Peter Mutasa has been charged with subverting a constitutional government or alternatively inciting public violence over shutdown protests held last. Mutasa, who is represented by Alec Muchadehama of ZLHR is detained at Harare Central Police Station and is likely to appear at Harare Magistrates Court on Saturday 26 January 2019.
