By Own Correspondent| The Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) has released a statement distancing the force from rogue elements masquarading as soldiers and brutalising and raping civilians calling on citizens to report such individuals to the military police.

Lieutenant Colonel Alphios Makotore who is the Director Army Public Relations said in a statement:

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC: ZIMBABWE MILITARY POLICE HOTLINES

The Zimbabwe National Army has noted with concern allegations of misconduct and acts of violence by people purporting to be members of the organisation.

The actions by these bogus elements have subsequently put the image of the organisation into disrepute.

In view of the foregoing, the ZNA would like to urge members of the public to report any acts of misconduct by anyone purporting to be a member of the organisation using the following Military Police hotline numbers:
