Jane Mlambo| Member of parliament for Kuwadzana East and MDC Deputy Treasurer, Charlton Hwende has admitted they lost the vote against scrapping of the two percent tax on electronic payments imposed by government in October this year.

Posting on Twitter, Hwende said the vote followed a heated debate that saw parliament closing late into the night.

Though MDC parliamentarians could not secure the support of their Zanu PF counterparts, they teamed up to push for government to raise their budget allocation to cater for top of the range vehicles they are expected to get in 2019.
