Zimbabwe People First leader, Joice Mujuru will next weekend officially begin her meet the people tour with a rally in Bulawayo, ZimEye is can reveal.
The Bulawayo rally scheduled for Stanley Square Stadium in Makokoba will be the first of the scheduled ten rallies in weeks that will see her going through all the provinces in the country.
MUJURU RALLY2Sources within the party indicated that Mujuru will visit all provincial capitals on a weekly basis starting next weekend in Bulawayo before the party holds its official launch rally in Harare immediately after all the provinces have been visited.
Mujuru’s rallies come at a time when several of her members have been accusing her of being too silent and taking too long to launch her party. The sources say that Mujuru chose Bulawayo as her first point of call because of the huge membership she has attracted from the Matabeleland Regions.
The party’s Secretary General Dzikamai Mavhaire confirmed that Mujuru will be launching her provincial rallies next weekend though choosing not state where the first rally will be held. ZimEye.com however managed to establish that the party has indeed booked Stanley Square Stadium for a public gathering to be held on the 18th of June.
