Today the people of Matebeleland South marched to Maleme farm where they expected VP Phelekezela Mphoko to address them about the takeover of Maleme farm by CIO agent Rodrick Mashingaidze but he failed to turn up.
Hundreds drove to Maleme farm but were forced to abandon their cars by police who mounted road blocks at Maleme farm.
Determined villagers then marched to Maleme farm where VP Mphoko was expected to address them but he failed to turn up for the second time in two weeks.
One elder from the village asked for prayers as he marched to Maleme and vowed,’Sithi NO, NO and NO ngeMaleme yethu.’
‘Ngisaya eMaleme. May those going to church this morning pray for us all and pray for the land after Abantwa was once under Tjilale Bango during Mambo Empire and then Nzula the son of Princess Famona Khumalo whose grave is in this Maleme ranch during the AmaNdebele rule and under the British colonilists. Now we are independent Nzula Masuku, Sigombe Mathema, Mabuyane Ndiweni people and even Bangos and others who were displaced during the colonial rule should benefit from the land not a lone stranger or foreighner from the east. Sithi NO, NO and NO ngeMaleme yethu.’
Commenting on social media over the blockade mounted by police Ndba Nhuku said, ‘No surrender no retreat. The old and the young, women and men, the strong and ailing; all marching on together to see and hear VP Mphoko. If Mphoko is our VP, and has come to address people, why are they being turned away from hearing him?’

  3. The fat vile pig mphoko is lucky he wasn’t skinned alive and his rotten diseased carcass fed to the crocs

  4. I like the determination of the Matebeleland people. These corrupt leaders should know that their duty is to serve people not the other way round.
